Quedlinburg, 07.11. - 08.11. 2014
The winter workshop 2014 started on 7th of November at 9:00 am and ended on 8th of November at 12:00 pm.
It was held in historical Quedlinburg, which is located in the north of Harz Mountains, in the west of Saxony-Anhalt. Quedlinburg was the capital of East Franconian German Empire at the time of the Saxonian-Ottonian ruling the dynasty. The number and high quality of the timber-framed buildings make Quedlinburg an exceptional example of a medieval European town.
During this workshop in total 20 oral and 10 poster presentations were made. On the first day and before lunch, students presented their works in two panels, separated by a break.
After lunch we had a very nice 2-hour tour, guided both in German and English, through this beautiful old city.
After the board meeting at 17:30 pm we went to Brauhaus Lüdde restaurant for dinner.
The oral presentations were continued on the second day and at 12:00 pm Prof. Bertram made the closing remarks and the workshop was officially concluded.
